I’ve been meaning to visit City Hall and take in the view from London’s Living Room for ages. Finally got around to doing it!

I had fun at the Mayor of London Skyride today. This was one of the more amusing sights!

I visited Crystal Palace Park today, home to a large transmitter and the remains of Crystal Palace. It is a place that I’ve been meaning to go to for a while now! It’s a great shame that the Palace burnt down in 1936, but just visiting the site gives you an idea of the sheer scale of it. There are plans to conserve and re-develop the site, which would be great.

With a nod to Owen Bilcliffe, this was taken in the Southside shopping centre car park.

Richmond Lock is the last lock on the Thames, and includes a tidal barrage, which makes up the majority of this shot. When the tide is in, the sluice gates are raised and boats can pass underneath. However, at other times they must make use of the lock, visible on the left of the photo. Here’s an overhead photo which will probably make things a bit clearer.

Stitched from 7 photos, this panorama takes in a fair few of the sights of Paris: the River Seine, La Défense, the Eiffel Tower and the Basilica of the Sacré Coeur, to name a few. It’s well worth a climb up the 422 steps of Notre Dame to take in this view!
